CLUB NEWS 11 – 19th September ‘17

JUNIOR TROPHY WINNERS
These were presented by Ernie M. and Hannah from the Ski School, Saturday afternoon at the conclusion of the Schools’ prizegiving. Awards don’t come without a lot of hard work, so we congratulate the Winners, but it takes ALL of our young skiers to push the others along and bring out the best in each other, so you all deserve to be congratulated. We have a growing bunch of young ones who love the sport and are bringing their friends along on school days. At this age they learn so quickly, so it’s the ideal time to introduce them to it. Bring on NEXT season! Hopefully even more kids. Attached is the list of Jnr trophy winners.

ADULT TROPHY WINNERS
These will be presented at the Lake Bar on night of Thurs, 28th September. We are meeting there at 6.30 for a meal and afterwards Trophy presentations. If you are on the Committee, there is a meeting beforehand at 5.30pm. See you there!

OFFICIAL CLOSING OF SNOW FARM
I hate to speak about it, but the time has come to close the door for another season. Just when we’ve had a fresh 5-10cm of snow! Dean has returned to Canada after doing a superb job on the trails. Sam has taken over till end of season, so there is still grooming for another week. Grab a good day this week and make the most of the last snow. You can still go up after closing day of course, but there will be no staff, no coffee, no grooming, probably no people, so you might not think it worthwhile! There WILL be paradise ducks however and they are good company.

SNOW SPORTS AGM
On Friday evening 29th September, at Snow Sports offices, 78 Anderson Road, Wanaka. All competitive and recreational members are encouraged to attend and exercise your vote.
